Who it’s for
Adults navigating stress, caregiving, or major life changes who want practical tools for calm focus, better sleep, and clear, kind communication. All ages and abilities are welcome. Chairs welcome. Babies welcome.
About the program
Code Calm is a warm, small-group class designed to help you stay steady when life feels overwhelming or uncertain. Each week you’ll learn simple, evidence-based techniques you can use immediately — at home, at work, and in difficult conversations. Sessions combine gentle breathing and attention practices, practical communication tools, and short guided exercises that help your body and mind settle so you can think clearly and respond instead of react.
You’ll also have space to connect with others in a supportive environment. Many participants find that, alongside new coping skills, they gain friendships and a sense of community that lasts beyond the course.
What You’ll Gain
Simple techniques to reduce anxiety and improve sleep
● Skills for expressing needs without conflict
● Greater emotional steadiness and self-confidence
● Practical tools for handling stressful moments and tough conversations
● A supportive small-group environment where you feel welcomed and understood
No prior experience is needed. Everything is taught step-by-step and adapted for comfort and accessibility.
Our Approach
Code Calm is inspired by well-established, evidence-based practices in mindfulness, compassion training, and needs-based communication — including the work of Jon Kabat-Zinn, Thich Nhat Hanh, and Marshall Rosenberg. Rather than lectures or “positive thinking,” the class emphasizes short, practical exercises that help regulate the stress response, steady emotions, and support clearer thinking and kinder communication.
A Holistic, Body First Method
This course is guided through a holistic, somatic (body-based) approach sometimes described as The Anatomy of Presence — learning how breath, posture, attention, and emotion work together so you can feel more like yourself in everyday life. The focus is not on analyzing problems, but on building real-time skills that help you feel calmer, more centered, and more capable in the moment.
About the Instructor
Dr. Giulietta Octavio, DACM, is a doctor of integrative Chinese medicine, acupuncture, and herbalism, with additional training in somatic coaching and body-based stress-regulation practices. She helps individuals build emotional steadiness, clearer communication, and practical resilience skills through gentle guided exercises and real-life application rather than talk therapy. Her classes are designed to be welcoming and non-judgmental spaces where participants feel safe to learn, practice, and connect.
Code Calm is for anyone who wants to feel better, think more clearly, and stay true to themselves — while building community and practical skills they can rely on long after the class ends.
